This Privacy Policy explains how AWWDITIONS, INC collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information through awwditions.com and related products, classes, events, and services. It also explains the choices available to users.
1 Who Controls Your Information
AWWDITIONS, INC, a California corporation, is responsible for the personal information described in this policy unless another notice identifies a different controller. Contact us at info@awwditions.com or 1533 26th Street, Santa Monica, California 90404.
Awwdition has the meaning given in section 1 of the Terms of Use: AWWDITIONS' own word for an audition, a performer's recorded or in-person reading, performance, or other submission made for consideration for a role.
2 Information We Collect
The information collected depends on how you use AWWDITIONS.
Account and Contact Information
We collect information such as your name or stage name, email address, password hash, first party cookies described in Section 7, two factor authentication configuration when used, account type, preferences, age confirmation, your acceptance of these policies, and communications settings.
Performer Profile and Professional Information
We may collect your biography, location, disciplines, skills, union status, professional affiliations, credits, resume, education, representation, languages, measurements or role related characteristics you choose to provide, social links, portfolio links, headshots, audio, video, reels, and electronic press kit content.
Casting and Production Information
For casting or industry accounts, we may collect your organization, title, credentials, credits, project information, production entity, authority to post, contact details, verification records, compensation information, union status, role descriptions, dates, locations, and listing history.
Submissions Communications and Feedback
We collect awwdition selections, uploaded self tapes and other materials, submission dates, reviewer assignments, status decisions, callbacks, booking information, critiques, ratings, reports, support messages, and communications sent through the service.
Transactions
Stripe collects payment credentials through its hosted Checkout page. AWWDITIONS never receives or stores your card number. We receive records such as customer and checkout identifiers, what was bought, amount, currency, purchase history, payment status, and refunds, together with the entitlements a purchase creates on your account: submission credits, a production pass and its expiry, and a guaranteed placement and its status.
Device Usage and Cookie Information
When you use the service, AWWDITIONS and its hosting and security providers may collect IP address, device and browser information, operating system, referring page, pages or features used, dates and times, approximate location derived from IP address, error logs, security events, and first party cookie information. Stripe may collect device and browser information when you use its hosted Checkout page under Stripe's privacy notice. AWWDITIONS does not use analytics tools or advertising pixels.
Classes and Support
We may collect enrollment, lesson progress, credential completion, survey responses, support records, and information needed to deliver a class or a customer service request. If AWWDITIONS holds an event, we may also collect registration, attendance, accessibility requests, and recordings where notice is provided.
Sensitive Information
Some casting and performer information may reveal or relate to race or ethnicity, religious beliefs, union membership, health or disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other sensitive characteristics. Provide this information only when you choose to and when it is relevant to a lawful purpose. We do not use facial recognition, voiceprint identification, or other biometric identification technology.
3 Sources of Information
We collect information directly from you, automatically from your use of the service, from casting organizations or representatives involved in a submission, from payment and service providers, from partners you ask us to work with, and from public professional sources used to verify a casting professional, production, credential, or credit.
4 How We Use Information
- Create, maintain, secure, and authenticate accounts
- Provide profiles, electronic press kits, listings, submissions, decisions, critiques, classes, credentials, and support
- Process purchases, issue receipts, apply submission credits, production passes, and guaranteed placements, and prevent payment fraud
- Verify casting professionals, productions, listings, credentials, and reported conduct
- Route awwdition materials to authorized recipients and deliver responses
- Personalize listings, education, communications, and account features
- Operate, troubleshoot, analyze, secure, and improve the service
- Enforce rules, investigate reports, protect users, and prevent fraud, abuse, discrimination, exploitation, and security incidents
- Send transactional messages and, where permitted, marketing communications
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, court, law enforcement, and regulatory obligations
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
5 Public and Private Information
Public profile and electronic press kit information is visible according to your publishing settings and may be indexed by search engines. Casting listings may be public or restricted as shown on the listing.
Private awwdition tapes, application materials, critiques, and private messages are limited to the user, authorized AWWDITIONS personnel, and authorized reviewers, casting professionals, or production representatives with a legitimate need. We do not use private awwdition tapes or critiques for advertising without separate permission.
6 How We Disclose Information
We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the following purposes.
- Authorized casting recipients and reviewers receive the profile and submission information needed to evaluate an opportunity
- Service providers support payments, application hosting, databases, object storage, email delivery, security, and other operations under contractual restrictions
- Class and professional partners receive information needed to provide a service you request
- Professional advisers, insurers, auditors, and financing parties receive information when reasonably necessary and subject to appropriate duties
- Government authorities or other parties receive information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, users, or the public
- A buyer, successor, or transaction participant may receive information in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or transfer of the business, subject to applicable law
We do not sell personal information for money and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The service does not use analytics tools or advertising pixels. If that changes, we will update this policy and add any notices, consent mechanisms, or opt-out controls required by law before activation.

Google Sign-In is built but not enabled, and AWWDITIONS does not currently receive information from it. AWWDITIONS does not use third-party customer-support software. Neon Object Storage is being evaluated as a possible replacement for Cloudflare R2, but Cloudflare R2 remains the live video and file storage provider until any migration is completed. AWWDITIONS will update this section when an activation or migration changes the providers that process personal information.
7 Cookies and Similar Technologies
AWWDITIONS uses first party cookies only. They are a session cookie for login, a short lived cookie that confirms a recent password entry before a security change, and small functional cookies that remember whether you have dismissed a prompt or read a guide. Your browser also stores local preferences such as your light or dark theme and reduced motion choice, which never leave your device. Stripe may use technologies on its hosted Checkout page under Stripe's privacy notice. AWWDITIONS does not use analytics cookies or advertising pixels, and no third party sets a cookie through the service.
Before enabling a nonessential cookie, analytics tool, advertising pixel, or Google Sign-In, AWWDITIONS will update its inventory and provide any notice, consent control, or opt-out mechanism required by law.
8 Data Retention
We retain personal information for the period reasonably necessary to provide the service, complete transactions, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, insurance, and regulatory duties. Retention depends on the type of information and the reason it was collected.
After account closure, active account information is scheduled for deletion or deidentification after a reasonable wind down period, generally 90 days, unless a user requests earlier deletion or a legal, billing, fraud prevention, safety, dispute, or backup need requires longer retention. Transaction and tax records may be kept for up to seven years or another period required by law. Security logs and fraud records may be retained as reasonably necessary to protect users and the service. Backup copies expire through ordinary rotation and are not restored to active use after deletion except for disaster recovery.
9 Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the information and the service. Measures may include encrypted transmission, access controls, role based permissions, password hashing, two factor authentication, logging, backups, vendor review, and incident response procedures. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or loss will never occur.
10 Your Choices and Requests
Subject to verification and applicable exceptions, you may ask AWWDITIONS to provide access to personal information, correct inaccurate information, delete information, export information in a portable format, explain processing, or close an account. You may change profile visibility and communication preferences through available settings.
Send requests to info@awwditions.com from the account email and identify the request. We may ask for information needed to verify identity and authority. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and will not discriminate against a user for exercising a legal privacy right. An authorized agent may submit a request where law permits, subject to verification.
11 California Privacy Information
California law may provide rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain information about the use and disclosure of personal information, as well as rights concerning sale, sharing, and sensitive personal information when the relevant statute applies. AWWDITIONS will honor applicable rights and may choose to provide similar controls more broadly.

AWWDITIONS does not knowingly sell personal information for money or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. No analytics tools or advertising pixels are used. If future practices trigger a California opt-out or limitation right, AWWDITIONS will provide the required method and honor applicable browser-based opt-out preference signals.
12 Email You Receive and How to Stop It
AWWDITIONS sends account and security email, and notification and message email about activity on your account. Notification and message email goes only to a confirmed address. Every notification and message email carries an unsubscribe link, and your settings page has a switch for each kind of email and a master switch for all of them. Turning email off never stops the account, security, and policy notices the law and your account security require.
If marketing email begins, you may unsubscribe using the link in the message or by contacting info@awwditions.com. Marketing messages will identify the sender, include a valid postal address, and provide a working opt-out method as required by law.
13 International Users
AWWDITIONS is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where service providers operate. If AWWDITIONS intentionally offers the service in a jurisdiction that requires additional privacy disclosures, lawful bases, contracts, transfer safeguards, or representatives, the company will add those measures before that launch.
14 Adults Only
The service is intended only for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a minor through an AWWDITIONS account. If you believe a minor has created an account or submitted information, contact info@awwditions.com so we can investigate and delete information as appropriate.
15 Third Party Services
The service may link to or integrate with third party websites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Review those notices before providing information directly to a third party.
16 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the service, providers, or law changes. We will post the updated policy and revise the effective date. We will provide additional notice before a material change where required by law.
