MERCEDES — The Pynk's veteran headliner and its biggest draw. After years at the top, Mercedes is ready to step off the stage and build a business that belongs to her. This playlist follows that drive and determination. We are inviting singers, rappers, and bands to record a cover of one song from Mercedes's playlist. Pick the song that speaks to you and make it your own. Every genre and style is welcome, and solo artists and full bands are equally encouraged to submit. THE PLAYLIST: 1. "Bodak Yellow" by Cardi B 2. "Independent Women Part I" by Destiny's Child 3. "Run the World (Girls)" by Beyoncé 4. "Thot Shit" by Megan Thee Stallion 5. "Bills, Bills, Bills" by Destiny's Child 6. "Grindin'" by Clipse 7. "Respect" by Aretha Franklin 8. "U.N.I.T.Y." by Queen Latifah 9. "Unpretty" by TLC 10. "I'm Every Woman" by Chaka Khan AWWDITION INSTRUCTIONS (SELF-TAPE): - Choose ONE song from the playlist and record your cover of it. - Begin with a short slate: your name (or band name), where you are based, and the song you chose. Band members should each introduce themselves. - Clear audio matters most. A phone recording is perfectly fine as long as you can be heard clearly. - You may audition for more than one character. Please send a separate submission for each. We can't wait to hear what you bring to the playlist!
